Privacy Policy

Homebase is a privately developed personal computing, automation and decision-support platform. This Privacy Policy describes how Homebase, including its Kronos calendar module, handles information obtained through Google APIs.
Google Calendar Data
When a user authorises the Kronos calendar module to connect to Google Calendar, Homebase uses Google OAuth to request read-only access necessary to retrieve calendar and event information.
Kronos may access:
- the user's list of Google calendars;
- calendar names, identifiers and related calendar metadata;
- events contained in authorised calendars, including event titles, dates, times, recurrence information, status and other event metadata required for calendar synchronisation; and
- a Google account identifier used to maintain the identity of the authorised account within Homebase.
Kronos uses this information solely to provide calendar aggregation, synchronisation and scheduling functionality within the user's Homebase installation.
The Google Calendar integration is read-only. Homebase does not use this integration to create, modify or delete events in Google Calendar.
Storage of Google User Data
Calendar information retrieved through Google APIs is stored locally within the user's Homebase installation.
Google OAuth credentials required to maintain authorised access are also stored locally on the user's computer. Sensitive credential material is protected using Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI) encryption.
Homebase does not operate a remote service for storing the user's imported Google Calendar data.
Sharing and Disclosure
Homebase does not sell Google user data.
Homebase does not use Google user data for advertising, marketing, profiling or unrelated purposes.
Google user data obtained by Kronos is not shared with third parties by Homebase except where necessary to comply with applicable law or where explicitly initiated or authorised by the user.
Limited Use
Homebase's use of information received from Google APIs is limited to providing and improving the user-facing calendar functionality described in this policy.
Homebase's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
User Control and Revocation
Users control whether Kronos is authorised to access their Google Calendar account.
Google access can be revoked at any time through the user's Google Account permissions. Revoking access prevents Kronos from obtaining new information from Google Calendar.
Calendar information previously synchronised into the user's local Homebase installation may remain locally stored until it is removed from Homebase by the user.
Data Security
Homebase is designed to minimise external exposure of Google user data. Imported calendar information is maintained locally within the user's Homebase environment, and OAuth credential material is protected using operating-system encryption.
Changes to this Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if Homebase's Google integration or data-handling practices change. The current version will be published on this page.
